Default Ethernet interface configuration of software and preinstalled Test Agents

This page describes the default settings in the interfaces of Netrounds Test Agents. Once a Test Agent is connected to your network, it will automatically attempt to connect to the Netrounds cloud servers. The default behavior is described below; it can be changed using the local console command line interface.

Downloadable software Test Agents

If you have downloaded and built your own Test Agents, the default configuration for the Ethernet interfaces is DHCP addressing. How to change to static IP addressing is explained on the page Setup of the management interface.

If your PC has multiple interfaces, the one identified as "eth0" is by default used as management interface to communicate with the Netrounds server.
